This weekend was one of epic proportions. I got the privilege to brush elbows with some of Dallas’ most fashionable front row at Fashion X Dallas, a three-day runway presentation of independent and emerging designers. Saturday night was fashion-packed with eight runway shows featuring all of our favorite fashion hopefuls, the Project Runway All-Stars.  Anthony Ryan Auld, Korto Momulu, Laura Kathleen, Daniel Esquivel, Melissa Flies, Jeffrey Sebelia, Mychael Knight, and Michele Lesniak took the stage at the Fashion Industry Gallery

While I love the tried and true, there’s something so inspiring about seeing the upcoming and emerging. The energy on the runway at Fashion Industry Gallery was fresh and exciting as it welcomed  a new group of fashion voices eager to be heard.

I can’t help but to go to my tried and true black uniform, especially when going to an event full of stylish and trendy dallasites.I paired this halter jumpsuit with this amazing cape blazer. But what at really set this look off was this matte dark  lipstick by Lorac which turned heads all night long (and merited a compliment by designer Mychael Knight)

You look incredible. Your outfit is so chic. The event you attended seems like it was really amazing.

  • […] As you can see by the gorgeous Brooklyn Bridge Park Foliage, Fall is in full swing! One of my favorite fall trends is the black cape blazer. There is seriously no better way than to literally ‘throw on the glamour’ than with this gorgeous addition. BTW my obsession is nothing new, see how else I styled the black cape blazer here and here.
