DVF: Journey of a Dress

IMG_0447

This week I finally got the chance to visit the highly anticipated Diane Von Furstenberg Journey of a Dress exhibit. The exhibit is located at the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art and is a look inside the past and present beauty that is DVF. Diane Von Furstenberg’s wrap dress has become one of the most iconic pieces of fashion in history. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the wrap dress the exhibit takes you on a journey through the evolution of the dress and the designer who created it. The exhibit is girly, fun, and interactive. The exhibit, located in LA, is the first of its kind in North America. It is filled with wrap dress dawning mannequins, photographs, paintings, and even a DVF giftshop area. The  exhibit space creates a captivating environment with the use of vibrant colors and bold wall patterns. It is a place where young girls can be inspired by fashion and adult fashion lovers can marvel at a designer they respect. It is perfect day trip with friends, family, or solo. The 40th anniversary DVF exhibit is an absolute must see!
